1. Purpose
A safe vehicle protects the driver, the freight, and the public. This training covers the daily inspection, secure loading, breakdown response, and charging rules every GoBee operator follows.
2. Daily pre-trip inspection
- Walk around: tires, lights, signals, mirrors, wipers, body damage, leaks.
- Fluids and belts at driver-checkable levels; anything low, leaking, or abnormal gets reported.
- Cargo area clean, dry, and free of loose or personal items.
- Doors, cargo doors, and locks working.
- No inspection, no departure.
3. Loading
- Secure every package so nothing shifts in transit.
- Balance the load, heavy items low.
- Never block doors or emergency exits.
- Place temperature-sensitive items as labeled.
4. Driving
- Drive for conditions, not just the posted limit.
- Never handle dispatch messages while moving; pull over safely first.
- Keep freight secured and the vehicle locked at every stop.
5. Breakdown
- Hazards on, safe stop, stay visible.
- Call dispatch immediately with location and status.
- Stay with the freight; do not abandon a load.
- Follow dispatch's instructions for recovery or transfer.
6. Reporting rule
Report any vehicle issue to dispatch before departure. A vehicle with a safety issue does not go out until dispatch clears it. End-of-day: report any new issue, however small, and leave the vehicle clean, secured, and fueled or charged.
7. EV charging — for EV units when assigned
GoBee's fleet is moving toward electric vehicles. When assigned an EV unit: charge off-peak at assigned GoBee stations or partner lots, monitor battery state during charging, and report any charging fault to dispatch. Never use an unapproved charger for a GoBee vehicle.
